Baku hosts 2nd International Youth Forum
Baku, November 22 (AZERTAC). The 2nd International Youth Forum “New generation: endless responsibility” has started in Baku.
Opening the ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev said the aim of the forum was to develop and expand friendly and cooperative relations among the youth in the Caucasus.
Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov stressed the importance of the forum.
Rahimov said Azerbaijan and Russia has long, common history, adding that this event will contribute to strengthening friendly ties between the two countries’ youth.
Head of the social-political department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov described the forum as “a good platform for friendship and cooperation”. He noted that the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia attach great importance to this forum.
Stressing that Azerbaijan cooperates with 83 regions of Russia, Ali Hasanov said reciprocal visits of the two countries` presidents play a significant role in development of bilateral relations.
“The tradition of holding reciprocal visits contributes to the implementation of creative ideas and new projects”, Ali Hasanov added. Touching upon the ethnic conflicts in the region, head of the socio-political department underlined that “the security of neighborhood countries depends on one another. All the youth of the region must unite for peace and friendship”.
