Baku hosts "Scientists of Tomorrow" II Republic competition
Baku, February 8 (AZERTAC). The competition “Scientists of Tomorrow” for pupils of secondary schools today has started at Kempinski Hotel Badamdar, Baku.
The competition, organized by the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports and “Madad-Azerbaijan” public union, aims to give high to the school students the opportunity to demonstrate their academic achievements and send 5 of them to the International Science and Engineering Fair - Intel ISEF, held in the United States annually.
At the opening ceremony, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov highlighted President Ilham Aliyev's successful continuation of comprehensive development way defined by national leader Heydar Aliyev, and talked about attention and care of the President to the education.
Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov emphasized the importance of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s policy, saying his ideas were being carried out resolutely by the President Ilham Aliyev.
Other speakers, including Executive Director of “Madad Azerbaijan” Vusal Khanlarov and Director of Institute of Petrochemical Processes of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Vagif Abbasov stressed the significance of the competition.
"Scientists of Tomorrow" II Republic competition bring together 116 students from Baku and Sumgait cities. Participants compete in 8 categories.
The event will end on Friday.
