Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Serbia business forum
Baku, November 26 (AZERTAC). Baku has today hosted an Azerbaijan-Serbia business forum organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
The forum brought together officials, as well as the two countries` businessmen from the fields of construction, food industry, agriculture, commerce, engineering, transport, tourism, electric, medical and gas equipment manufacturing, plastic packaging and container products, aluminium composite panels, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, production and repair of railway coaches.
Opening the event Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev briefed the participants on the economic changes in Azerbaijan. Stressing the importance of business forums, presentations and exhibitions in expansion of relations, Mustafayev noted that 4 business forums were held between Azerbaijan and Serbia.
In turn, Serbia's Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić said that Serbia is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan and expressed his confidence that the ties will expand furthermore.
AZPROMO head Rufat Mammadov and Chamber of Commerce President Miloš Bugarin made presentations on Azerbaijan’s and Serbia’s economy accordingly.
AZPROMO and Serbian Chamber of Commerce, as well as Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Serbian Chamber of Commerce signed memorandums on cooperation.
It is pertinent here to note that the second meeting of Azerbaijan-Serbia intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will be held on November 27.
