“BoostCamp 9” project successfully concludes at Baku Engineering University

The closing ceremony of the 9th BoostCamp project, organized for students during the winter break, was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Speaking at the event, Vagif Gasimov, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies, emphasized that the project serves as a practical knowledge platform for young people aiming to build careers in information technology and engineering. He noted that the model of team-based learning and peer support holds special significance in the modern educational environment and expressed his confidence that such initiatives will continue.
Providing details about the project’s implementation mechanism and program content, Project Leader Jafar Huseyn highlighted that “BoostCamp 9” was conducted in an intensive 10-day format. Within the program, participants held meetings with representatives of various companies, attended seminars and workshops, and received guidance on startup development and idea commercialization. Students engaged in practical activities in the university’s laboratories, working on real projects. A total of 86 students participated in the project, receiving training from 28 experienced mentors and completing practical assignments. The program focused not only on developing students’ technical knowledge but also on enhancing teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
During the event, projects prepared in the areas of Frontend, UX/UI Design, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Backend (Java, C#), Data Structures and Algorithms, Game Development and Design, and Android Development were demonstrated through slide presentations. The execution of the projects involved the use of modern programming languages, technological platforms, data processing, and cybersecurity tools.
In addition, the “Smart Home,” “Automated Waste Sorting by Color,” and “Elevator” projects developed by the Robotics-Beginner group, as well as the “Smart Target System” presented by the AI + Robotics group, were demonstrated live. Mentors provided information on the technological solutions implemented in each project, the algorithms used, and their functional capabilities.
Thus, the “BoostCamp 9” project once again demonstrated that innovative training programs based on practical knowledge play a significant role in the professional development of young people and make a tangible contribution to shaping their future career success.
It should be noted that the project was organized in alignment with the 4th Sustainable Development Goal (Quality Education) of the United Nations.
