BP Azerbaijan appoints new vice president

Baku, October 19 (AZERTAC). BP Azerbaijan has appointed a new vice president for drilling.

Jim Cowei, who previously held a similar post under a BP project in the North Sea, will take the position.

Cowei succeeds Gary Christman in this capacity from November 15. Christman will now serve as vice president of BP`s Global Wells Institute.

Jim Cowie has 32 years experience in the oil industry in leadership and management roles specialising in Drilling and Completions operations and engineering. will lead the team of over 300 wells experts in Baku. In addition, BP confirmed that 10 new specialist engineers will join the wells team in Baku. They have been hand-picked from BP`s global assets - Alaska, North America, North Sea, Angola and Egypt.
