CES 1st Engineering Forum kicks off in Baku
Baku, November 25 (AZERTAC). The first International Engineering Forum organized by the Caspian Engineers Society (CES) has got underway in Baku.
The forum, sponsored by Azerbaijan Youth Foundation and BP, aimed to bring together people from the industry, universities, and internationally known institutions to discuss today`s popular engineering topics.
Being a good opportunity for expansion of the young engineers` network, the forum was attended by government officials and representatives of industrial companies and international engineering organizations as FEANI, IChemE, UK engC, ASIIN, SEFI, and TMMOB.
Speaking at the event, CES executive director Zamin Aliyev said the forum would create an opportunity for the participants to broaden their networks with representatives from the government, the industry and international engineering organizations.
The forum also aimed to introduce the potential of the young Azerbaijani engineers to international engineering organizations and build a bridge between universities and the industry.
The key topics covered at the forum included engineering education; career paths for young engineers; engineering practices and standards application; engineering capacity building in projects, operations and maintenance; competencies and development programs; technical integrity, process safety and HSE strategies.
The CESF Organizational Committee announced Annual Engineering Award Winners at the end of the event.
Annual Engineering Awards were represented in the following five categories: The engineering project of the year; Engineer of the year; the education and training; CES student of the year; Hamid Habib scholarship winner announcement for 2013.
