CHAIRMAN OF AZERBAIJAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT MEETS GTZ REPRESENTATIVE
Baku, 7 July (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev has met Anja Konigsmann, director of “Support for legal and judicial reform in Azerbaijan” project supported by German International Technical Cooperation Agency, GTZ.
Abdullayev raised awareness of the guest about activities of the court and ongoing judicial reforms in the country.
He said elements of European judicial system are widely applied in Azerbaijan. Chairman of the Constitutional Court also pointed out his country is applying the international judicial legislation.
Abdullayev praised “Support for legal and judicial reform in Azerbaijan” project launched by GTZ in 1998. According to him, the project made a great contribution in carrying out legal and judicial reforms in the country.
Abdullayev said GTZ has also played very important role in expanding international relations of the Azerbaijan Constitutional Court.
Konigsmann said she has eye-witnessed all-round development in the country, adding GTZ attaches much importance on cooperation with Azerbaijan.
She said during her tenure in the country she will spare no efforts to contribute to expanding relations between the constitutional court and GTZ.
