Baku, April 12 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s capital will host the 2nd conference of the Council of directors of national libraries of the Economic Cooperation Organization`s (ECO) member states next Monday.

The two-day conference is part of a series of events Baku will be hosting through the year in the capacity of the Capital of Islamic Culture for 2009.

The event will bring together directors of the national libraries of Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as well as officials of the ECO Cultural Institute.

The first conference of the ECO Council of directors of national libraries was held in Tehran in 2007.
