Energy ministers from Nabucco West project`s member states to meet in Bucharest
Baku, May 13 (AZERTAC). “Energy ministers from Nabucco West project`s member states are expected to meet late May in capital Bucharest,” said Romanian State Minister for Energy Constantin Nita.
He said “we seek Turkey`s support in Nabucco Project.”
Paying a formal visit to Turkey as the guest of Turkish Minister of Energy & Natural Resources Taner Yildiz, Nita praised Turkey`s recent performance on the international energy platform and said "Turkey is the leading actor in the region and we must cooperate with leaders. Therefore, we insisted on negotiating the increasing number of projects. We wish to develop joint projects. Some projects have been on the shelf for a few years but we want to take further steps."
Minister Nita highlighted Turkey`s key role in Nabucco Natural Gas Pipeline Project, and expressed Romania`s need for Turkey`s support.
Nita said that Bucharest would host a meeting of energy ministers of Nabucco Project participant countries in the end of May.
Minister Nita pointed out Nabucco Project`s utmost importance in both economical and political means for the whole region, saying “this project is significant for both Central Europe and Eastern Europe”.
