EXHIBITION OF SCOTTISH PHOTOGRAPHER AND AZERBAIJANI ARTISTS OPENED IN BAKU MUSEUM CENTER

Baku, February 19 (AZERTAC). Exhibition of the Scottish photographer J. Rosie Collin and Azerbaijani artists opened in Baku Museum Center as a part of "Baku - the Capital of Islamic Culture - 2009” culture year.

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev, Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri made speeches here.

Mr. Garayev underlined that declaration Baku city as a capital of Islamic culture is of great honor for Azerbaijani nation. Azerbaijan will further play an important role in crossing civilizations and integration of the countries` cultures, said Mr. Garayev.

Mr. Altwaijri expressed his hope that Baku city will give an impetus to rapprochement of Islamic countries and even more expansion of the bilateral relations.

Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Culture of Islamic countries and the Europe, the public attended the exhibition.
