Geneva to host international ICT forum

Baku, May 13 (AZERTAC). The Fifth World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum (WTPF) organized by the International Telecommunication Union will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 14 to 16.

Azerbaijan will be represented by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizade.

Prior to the Forum, a special session on the future of broadband communications focused on the importance and benefits of broadband communication as a basic platform for progress, the regulation bases and other presentations, as well as its role in modern global economy as a necessary infrastructure.

The World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum (WTPF) is a high-level international event to exchange views on the key policy issues arising from today`s fast changing information and communication technology (ICT) environment.
