Heavy rain flooded the streets of Nicosia for half an hour

Baku, May 10 (AZERTAC). A half-hour downpour turned the main roads of the Cyprus capital Nicosia in the river, dozens of cars stalled in the water.

On Thursday afternoon, in Nicosia, was a thunderstorm with hail and shower. Many roads were flooded, and the police had to block traffic.

The water caught dozens of drivers off guard, stalled cars created havoc on the roads.

Firefighters responded to dozens of calls for help, fire brigade vehicles towed from the lowlands.

According to the forecasts of meteorological service, the bad weather in Cyprus will last until next Monday.
