Hungary hosts 4th Huns-Turkic Congress

Budapest, August 14 (AZERTAC). The Hungarian Turan Foundation organized the 4th Huns-Turkic Congress in Bugatsk, Hungary on August 10-12.

Vice-speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Sándor Lezsák and chairman of the Hungarian Turan Foundation Zsolt András Bíró made opening remarks at the event.

The event brought together representatives of 22 Turkish-speaking peoples.

More than 150 million people watched the congress for three days.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev attended the opening ceremony of the congress.

Chairman of the Copyright Agency Kamran Imanov delivered a report on Azerbaijani-Hungarian relations in ancient times at the scientific forum held within the framework of the congress.

Musicians of the Turkic World gave open-air concerts as part of the event.

Performance of Majnun Karim`s ancient musical instruments aroused keen interest among the audience.

A decision has been adopted to hold the 5th Hun-Turkic Congress in Hungary in 2014.
