Incoming South Korean ambassador praises relations with Azerbaijan
Baku, October 19 (AZERTAC). Incoming South Korean ambassador to Azerbaijan Chi Su Kin has praised Seoul`s relations with Baku, saying they maintain good cooperation on many fronts, particularly economy, politics and culture.
He stressed the role of high-level reciprocal visits in developing the bilateral relations.
Su Kin pointed out there was a strong legal framework for cooperation between Azerbaijan and South Korea, adding the two countries have signed 40 bilateral documents so far.
The ambassador praised trade between Azerbaijan and Korea, which he said had already reached 650 million US dollars.
“Korea exports mainly automobiles, and plastic and electronic goods to Azerbaijan, while buys oil, aluminum and copper products from it.”
Su Kin added Korean companies had invested $150 million in Azerbaijan since 2008.
