INDONESIAN MILITARY PLANE CRASHES WITH 9 ABOARD
Baku, September 7 (AZERTAC). A small Indonesian military plane crashed on Borneo on Monday with nine passengers and crew aboard, killing four, according to ANTARA News Agency.
The plane was found in two pieces near a village in East Kalimantan, along with four bodies, the said report citing police officials. Five others were seriously injured.
The Nomad P837 light aircraft was on routine patrol when it lost contact with air traffic control, navy spokesman Rear Adm. Iskandar Sitompul said.
The plane was flying between regional airports on the Indonesian half of Borneo island which is shared with the country`s northern neighbor, Malaysia, he said.
