INTERIOR MINISTER MEETS HEAD OF PACE ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION
Azerbaijan`s Interior Minister Ramil Usubov met Wednesday with Head of the PACE election observation mission Andreas Herkel and his accompanying delegation.
Mr. Usubov briefed the delegation on tasks of the police in the run-up presidential election on October 15.
He stressed a special plan had been drawn up to maintain order and ensure public security during the presidential election in the country.
R. Usubov noted new laws meeting democratic standards have been adopted by the country`s Parliament.
“More than 100 seminars and trainings were conducted in the country to improve professionalism of the police, the Minister added.
The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
