International Defence Industry Fair kicks off in Istanbul
Baku, May 9 (AZERTAC). The International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2013) has started in Istanbul.
The IDEF 2013 brings together more than 800 companies from 49 countries are demonstrating their productions and services.
Azerbaijan is demonstrating 130 types of military products, including 14.5 mm caliber Istiglal and 12,7 mm caliber Mubariz anti-material sniper rifles, UP-7.62 universal machinegun, 40 mm caliber RPG-7V2 “Gaya” hand grenade launcher, 60 and 82 mm mine throwers, small arms and various caliber ammunitions for small arms, optical systems, aerial bombs, various cartridges, electronic print boards, transparent submachine gun chargers, gas mask and AZ-2M and AZ-BP drone systems at the exhibition.
Azerbaijan`s Ministry of the Defense Industry is exhibiting 4x4 wheeled vehicle Gurza patrol car for the first time. The armament of Gurza includes two 7.62 mm and one 12.7 mm caliber machineguns. Moreover, 7,62x51 mm “Yalguzaq” sniper rifle and 7,62x54 mm HP-7,62 offensive machinegun are being also demonstrated.
