‘INTERNATIONAL MUGHAM CONTEST WAS A REAL MUSIC FESTIVAL’
Baku, March 25 (AZERTAC). The International mugham contest was a real music festival of representatives from different nations, said Michael Dreyer, German member of the jury.
“The festival was very well-organized and many thanks to Azerbaijan`s first lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva, who was the initiator of the event” said Dreyer.
“It was not an easy task to choose the winner since all performers were well-prepared and talented. But I think we’ve handled our task successfully”
Michael Dreyer also touched upon the performance by Azerbaijani singer Tayyar Bayramov who won the festival`s Grand Prix.
“Tayyar deserved the Grand Prix. His every performance was brilliant. I was deeply impressed by his mellow voice, and voted in his favor”.
Dreyer also praised the Azerbaijani people`s hospitality, saying “I will with great pleasure accept another invitation to visit Azerbaijan for any event of this kind”
“During my stay here I witnessed a superb hospitality of the Azerbaijani people, and fell in love with their traditions, culture and music, in particular mugham” said Dreyer.
