Japan hosts seminar on business opportunities in Caucasus
Baku, October 19 (AZERTAC). The Japan International Cooperation Agency jointly with the Japan External Trade Organization has hosted a seminar entitled “Business opportunities in the Caucasus”.
The seminar brought together ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, as well as representatives of Japanese companies, officials of World Bank, and Asian Development Bank in the Caucasian region.
The event participants were informed on existing business opportunities in Southern Caucasus countries.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzade delivered a report on Azerbaijan`s business opportunities and investment environment.
The ambassador briefed the participants on Azerbaijan`s economic development, and noted that there was auspicious legal environment for making investment.
Ismayilzade noted Azerbiajan was the regional leader.
He also hailed Azerbaijan`s important role in ensuring global energy security.
The ambassador said Azerbaijan attached great importance to developing the non-oil sector, and added there were ample opportunities in industry, tourism, agriculture, alternative and renewable energy spheres in the country.
