Junior Azerbaijani universal fighters rank 3rd in European championship

Baku, May 1 (AZERTAC). The junior Azerbaijan universal fighting team have finished 3rd in the medal table of the European championship in Ilyichevsk, Ukraine.

In the under 12-13 age group, Fatma Aghayeva and Aygun Mammadova garnered silver and bronze medals respectively in the girl`s 28kg weight category.

Hasan Aliyev weighing in at 35kg, Suleyman Guliyev at 45kg and Leyla Najafova at 28kg took bronze medals in the Under 10-11 age group. Nazakat Iskandarova claimed silver medal in the girl`s 37kg class.

Along with Azerbaijan, the tournament brought together fighters from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldavia, Russia and Finland.
