Kazakhstan`s Independence Day marked in Baku
Baku, November 21 (AZERTAC). An official reception has today been held in Baku to mark the 21st anniversary of Kazakhstan`s independence and the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Kazakhstan's ambassador Serik Primbetov spoke to the event, and highlighted the country`s achievements.
He praised the relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
“Our friendly and fraternal relations built by Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev are today developing under President Ilham Aliyev.”
Primbetov said Kazakhstan would increase efforts towards developing its relationship with Azerbaijan, as well as towards ensuring peace, security and stability in the region.
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev congratulated the Kazakh people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
He stressed the role of high-level reciprocal visits as well as bilateral documents in developing continuous and overall development of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations.
The event was attended by Azerbaijani state and government officials, foreign ambassadors and members of the general public.
