MILLI MAJLIS VICE-SPEAKER MEETS MEMBERS OF GEORGIAN DELEGATION
Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis (Parliament) Ziyafat Asgarov met Friday with members of the Georgian parliamentary delegation who are in Baku to attend the 3rd Congress of Azerbaijani Women.
Mr. Asgarov told of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia. He stressed Georgian parliamentarians` current visit to Baku would contribute to enhancing interparliamentary relations between the two countries.
Chairman of Georgian Parliament`s Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee George Arsenishvili briefed Asgarov on work done in promoting democracy in his country.
He highly valued the assistance rendered by Georgian Azerbaijanis to IDPs during the recent developments in Georgia.
Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev was also present in the meeting.
