Mr Bean's McLaren F1 repair bill is $1.4 million
Baku, February 9 (AZERTAC). Rowan Sebastian Atkinson, the English comedian and actor behind the famous Mr. Bean sitcom, has finally received back his McLaren F1 after his 2011 car crash.
The supercar was being evaluated and repaired for more than a year by expert technicians from McLaren. The 1.4 million dollars repair bill is currently the biggest repair bill from Britain and it is three times bigger than the previous most expensive car repair claim.
Fifty-eight year old Rowan Atkinson, who is worth 112 million dollars, has crashed his car near Peterborough in August 2011 after he drove through a slippery patch of road. The insurance company requested an evaluation of the car damages.
Although Rowan Atkinson bought the car for $1 million dollars in 1997 the Insurance Company decided to go ahead with the repair because the car value increased dramatically over the years. A McLaren F1 example even sold for $5.5 million dollars.
