NGO Forum of BSEC member states kicks off in Baku

Baku, November 28 (AZERTAC). The first forum of nongovernmental organizations of the Black sea Economic Cooperation Organization member states has today started in Baku.

The forum was organized by the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan Azay Guliyev stressed the importance of the forum. Guliyev said the secretariat would be created at the forum.

He noted that the forum`s charter and Baku declaration would be adopted at the event.

Head of foreign relations department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov read out President Ilham Aliyev`s message of greetings to the event participants.

The event brought together heads of NGOs of Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Russian, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, as well as representatives of international organizations and diplomatic corps and Azerbaijani state and government officials.
