NISA WINTER SESSION UNDERWAY IN BAKU
Baku, 26 January (AZERTAC). NISA (NATO International School of Azerbaijan) winter session entitled “New warfare and modern conflicts” started in Baku on Monday.
The session will focus on history of wars, their consequences, theoretical and practical approach to regional problems.
The event participants will also exchange views on the role of Euro-Atlantic structures in peaceful settlement of the conflicts in the South Caucasus, including one over the Nagorno-Karabakh.
The event brings together foreign students, journalists, officials and NGOs representatives.
Official of Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry Anar Jahangirli said the NATO International School contributes to making the international community more aware of realities on Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of the United States to Azerbaijan Anne Derse said the U.S. government will always support Azerbaijan`s integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
Romanian Ambassador to Baku Nikolae Ureke noted Azerbaijan actively participates in NATO-led peacemaking operations. He also underlined the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring peace in region.
NISA organized 9 sessions since 2003 which brought together about 400 representatives from 38 countries.
