PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV INAUGURATES TINNED FOOD FACTORY IN BALAKAN REGION
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the newly reconstructed Balakan tinned food factory, on Friday.
President Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva toured the workshops of the factory. Head of state higly valued the work done. Ilham Aliyev pointed out that achivements in the non-oil sector give impetus to development of the country`s economy.
International Bank of Azerbaijan has allotted 12 mln AZN to reconstruct the factory, which has workshops for production of jams, tomato pastes, fruit juices, filberts and concentrated goods. The factory will employ 180 people. The products are to export to Italy, Germany, Holland, Russia, Kazakhstan, US and Canada.

The same day, Ilham Aliyev toured Balakan fodder production plant.
Turkey`s “Azeryem” Company invested 2.3 mln AZN to construction of the plant. The plant employs 60 people.

President Ilham Aliyev ended his visit to Balakan region.
