PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV INSPECTS BALAKAN SPORTS COMPLEX
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has familiarized himself with Balakan sports complex.
Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov underlined that “Azerkommunlayiha” Institute under the Ministry of Emergencies has designed construction project of the complex.
The complex, construction of which is to be completed in 2009, includes 1500-seat football stadium, volleyball, mini football, basketball grounds, fitness club and swimming pool.
Head of state highly praised the works done here noting that this complex would give an impetus to development of sports in the region.

The same day, President Aliyev toured the newly opened bus station in Balakan region. Total area of the building is 1100 sq.km. New bus station will serve 500 passengers and employ 25 people.
