PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV INSPECTS RECONSTRUCTION WORKS IN SEASIDE NATIONAL PARK
Baku, January 12 (AZERTAC). On January 12, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with reconstruction works in the Seaside National Park.
The park, also called Seaside Boulevard, was founded in 1909.
In accordance with the Decree signed by President Heydar Aliyev on December 29, 1998, the boulevard was granted the National Park status.
On January 10, 2008, President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on setting up the Seaside Boulevard Department under the Cabinet of Ministers.
As reported, the Azerbaijani leader and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with reconstruction works in the Park.
The Head of State was informed that the Park with 70 hectares area was later refurbished with decorative trees and flowers. The lighting system has been entirely renewed.
The Head of State gave certain instructions to carry out high-quality construction works here.
