PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS TURKISH PREMIER ERDOGAN
Istanbul, June 7 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan here on Monday.
The parties expressed their satisfaction with development of bilateral relations in all fields. They said the signing of documents on natural gas is very important and will mark a new era in development of Turkey-Azerbaijan energy cooperation. Confidence was expressed that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in energy and other fields would continue to develop successfully.
The sides shared their views on the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed support to Turkey towards recent developments in the Mediterranean and extended his condolences over the killing of innocent Turkish civilians during the incident. The Head of State noted Azerbaijan is alongside Turkey with respect to this issue.
