PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN AND JORDAN KING MEET IN PRESENCE OF DELEGATIONS
Baku, May 16 (AZERTAC). Following a one-on-one meeting, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and King Abdullah II of Jordan held talks Sunday in the presence of both countries` delegations.
Speaking to the meeting participants President Ilham Aliyev said:
“Your highness!
Dear friends!
I want to greet you once again in Azerbaijan. I am very glad to see you. I am very satisfied with how relations between our countries are developing. These relations between our countries are fraternal indeed. I am sure that your visit to our country will play a special role in future development of bilateral relations. We attach special importance to bilateral relations. We have good political contacts and our reciprocal visits take place frequently. I believe we will witness good progress in all spheres.
We have discussed all issues regarding bilateral relations and our positions coincide. At the same time, we also discussed such issues as regional development and cooperation. I am sure that members of our delegations will spend their time effectively to outline what to do in order to develop bilateral relations. We are very grateful for your supporting us within international organizations. It is very important to us. We are hopeful that our friendship, fraternal relations, which are important for both us and region, will be continued.
Your Highness, welcome once again to our country”
Thanking for sincere welcome, King Abdullah II of Jordan said:
“Your Excellency!
I express my deep gratitude to you, dear brother, for inviting me to visit Azerbaijan together with the delegation. You also noted our bilateral ties are very strong at all levels. I hope this visit will provide an opportunity to do a follow-up on the results of previous discussions.
I once more note that exchange of information, contacts between our countries are a perfect example. We are thankful to You for your leading this work as well as for your instructions to the government of Azerbaijan to coordinate activities with the Jordan side.
We also do a coordinating work in Jordan. We know we have to do much down the road. We have many things in common. I think we have to use it. The most important thing is that along with ties between our states, regional relations are of great importance as well. In this regard, you and your country are very important for Jordan. As to difficulties you faced, we have always been on your side.
Mr. President, I heard personally from you that you have the same attitude to Jordan. We are confident of ties established between colleagues from both sides. I have the honor to be here in Baku. I hope our relations will be continued at not only level of states but also personal contacts.
