PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN PAYS TRIBUTE TO NATIONAL LEADER`S MONUMENT IN ZAGATALA

Zagatala, July 8 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today arrived in Zagatala region.

President Aliyev has several times visited this flourishing region of Azerbaijan. As all the country, the region`s economy quickly develops. The region`s socio-economic and cultural life experiences rapid changes. Total production in region, in comparison with 2003, has increased by 4.1 times in 2009, the industrial production volume - by 2.3 times, agricultural products - by 2,9 times, the investments for fixed capital - by 20,5 times. The fields of education, public health and culture have been in everyday focus of local government. Essential measures were taken to improve gas and electric supply of the region.

President Ilham Aliyev paid tribute to the monument erected here to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers.
