PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVES OUTGOING LATVIAN AMBASSADOR
Baku, July 14 (AZERTAC). President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan today received the outgoing ambassador of Latvia to the country Mikhails Popkovs on the ending of his diplomatic mission.
The bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia have notably developed during the ambassador`s mission, the head of Azerbaijan state underlined. The President noted importance of the reciprocal visits of the top officials of both countries.
The Ambassador said he came to Azerbaijan in late 2005 just after the first official visit of Latvian president to the country. And since, Azerbaijan has quickly developed and changed, the Ambassador emphasized. He especially noted the high growth rate in Azerbaijan under the leadership of incumbent president and high economic accomplishments.
