Reward at $10k in Mother's Day shooting

Baku, May 13 (AZERTAC). The reward for information leading to the arrests and indictments of those responsible for shooting 19 people on Mother’s Day in New Orleans has grown to $10,000, officials said.

Crimestoppers said on Sunday night it would double its usual reward to $5,000, while the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms is offering an additional $5,000.

Police are looking for three people who were seen leaving the area of Frenchmen and North Villere streets just after the shots were fired, about 1:45 p.m.

They did not announce a motive or who may have been the target of the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. Callers can remain anonymous and still qualify for the reward.
