Russia-Azerbaijan Inter-Regional Forum adopts Final Declaration
Baku, June 28 (AZERTAC). The 3rd Russia-Azerbaijan Inter-Regional Forum “Russia-Azerbaijan Dialogue 2012” wrapped up in Baku.
Addressing the final meeting of the forum, Head of the social and political department of the presidential office Ali Hasanov said, “All proposals voiced in the Forum will be considered and summarized. Azerbaijan is ready to develop strategic partnership with Russia”.
"Azerbaijan and Russia, based on the will of their peoples, have established strategic ties and develop them. The Azeri side is satisfied with the results of today's Forum,” said Hasanov.
On behalf of the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan, Ali Hasanov expressed his gratitude to the Russian delegation for a fruitful and dynamic work.
Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Interregional Relations and Cultural Contacts with Foreign Countries of Russia Vladimir Chernov said that this forum had wide prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Then the Final Declaration of the forum was adopted. The document says that the development of inter-regional cooperation meets the basic interests of Azerbaijani and Russian people and serves to improve confidence and mutual approach.
The sides have reaffirmed their readiness to contribute to improvement of effectiveness of the relations between Azerbaijan and the subjects of Russia.
The declaration set priorities of the development of cooperation as the formation of favorable condition for the development of mutual profitable trade, increasing of production complex investments, improvement of bilateral agreement basis in sphere of labor migration, establishment and development of support mechanism for the spheres of transport communications and communication area, development of the cooperation in sphere of agro industry complex, intensification of inter-areas dialogue in spheres of fuel and power engineering, industry and agro industry and transport complex, cooperation in sphere of finance, protection of environment and extension of mutual activity in sphere of rational use of natural resources, ensuring favorable condition for protection and development of ethnic, linguistic and cultural uniqueness of Russian and Azerbaijani Diasporas in Azerbaijan and Russian subjects.
The declaration underlined the importance of long-term economic cooperation program between Azerbaijan and Russia.
