The next feature in AZERTAC’s “If I Were a Tourist” column spotlights Shamakhi during the New Year holiday season.
The arrival of the New Year has created a unique festive atmosphere in Shamakhi. Streets and avenues, squares and parks across the district have been adorned with colorful lights, ornaments, and New Year attributes, enhancing the festive spirit through modern design elements.
In preparation for the holiday, extensive landscaping and decorative works were carried out throughout the district. Modern lighting systems were installed at the entrance to the city, along the newly constructed ring road, and in Heydar Aliyev Park. Dazzling New Year decorations, twinkling lights, and entertainment installations were set up, transforming urban spaces into festive wonderlands in the evening and creating a magical and visually striking atmosphere.
The streets and avenues decorated with festive attributes not only add a special charm to Shamakhi but also uplift the spirits of residents and visitors alike. Special recreational corners have been created for children, along with comfortable strolling areas for families. The festive scenery in Shamakhi further enhances the joy, hope, and goodwill associated with the New Year.
