Turkey ready to cooperate with all in development of resources in Mediterranean

Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). Turkey is ready to cooperate with all sides, be it Cyprus or other EU countries, in the development of gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea, stated President Abdullah Gul of Turkey, speaking at the World Energy Forum in Istanbul, the TRT Haber TV channel said.

“Turkey is ready to cooperate for the development and transportation of gas produced in the Mediterranean Sea, to the world market through the construction of gas pipeline or liquefied gas supplies,” Gul emphasized.

At his words, for energy cooperation in the Mediterranean Sea it is necessary to carry out coordination of negotiations among the countries such as Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Egypt and Cyprus.
