’012 Baku Public Art Festival’ ends
Baku, November 10 (AZERTAC). The Nizami Movie Centre hosted the closing ceremony of the first “012 Baku Public Art Festival” of non-commercial organization YARAT!.
Head of YARAT! Organization Aida Mahmudova noted that the project had been running in the Azerbaijani capital since the beginning of February.
She pointed out that artist participating in the project presented their works to public in different sports of the city during the festival.
As an art project, “012 Baku Public Art Festival managed to attract even those who have nothing to do with art, since it’s extremely interesting to familiarize with the “kitchen” of creativity of artists and observe the process of creativity. Considering the interest of art fans, organizers of the festival held a presentation of a documentary film about the festival, shot by young and talented director Rufat Hasanov.
Mahmudova noted that the Organization plans to carry out another project in February next year. The project may have some changes in theme and title, but the idea will be the same.
The festival involved 21 both famous and new artists. The films showcased during the festival caused loud applauses.
Following the presentation, Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Afandiyev addressed the event and spoke about the significance of the festival. He noted that the festival which ran 10 months became not just part of our cultural life, but a national factor and a new genre for us. He wished luck to all of the artists participating at the festival.
