3rd international art exhibition opens in Gabala
Gabala, May 7 (AZERTAC). The opening ceremony of the 3rd Gabala International Art Exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev has taken place at Gabala Culture Center.
The exhibition is organized by the Culture Fund of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association SEBA (Seoul-Baku).
Prior to the event, participants of the exhibition visited the Heydar Aliyev Center to pay tribute to Azerbaijan’s national leader.
Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva’ s works will also be demonstrated in the exhibition.
President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mehriban Aliyeva sent a congratulatory message to the participants.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, head of the Azerbaijani-Korean Cultural Exchange Association SEBA Ruhangiz Heydarova noted that the event was an important part of a large-scale campaign aimed at promoting Azerbaijani culture.
She said the number of participants increased this year, adding “this testifies to growing interest in the exhibition, Azerbaijan and our national art”.
“This event opens up favorable opportunities for strengthening friendly and cultural relations of Azerbaijan with other countries.”
The event attracts 158 artists from 23 countries who exhibit a total of 291 works.
