ADA holds graduation ceremony of MADIA master’s degree program students
Baku, May 18 (AZERTAC). A graduation ceremony of the students on Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs (MADIA) master’s degree program of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy for 2013 was held at the Academy.
Addressing the ceremony, the deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan, rector of the Diplomatic Academy, Professor Hafiz Pashayev highlighted the Academy’s activity, expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Fist Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for care and attention rendered to the Academy.
Pashayev informed about the MADIA master’s degree program, its special importance.
As stated, it was the first graduation ceremony in the newly-built training center of the Academy opened in September, 2012. 28 students became graduates on MADIA program in 2013. Of them, 18 are Azerbaijanis, 10 from the foreign countries - the US, Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, Gambia, Pakistan, Fiji, Kenya and Argentina. The foreign students studied at ADA basing on the International Scholarship Program.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov, Gambian student Ndey Haddy Jeng addressed the ceremony. Following this, diplomas will be handed to the graduates.
The diplomas were handed over to the graduates.
The event was attended by state and government dignitaries, ambassadors of foreign countries, scholars, students.
