AZERBAIJAN EMBARKS ON 5TH PHASE OF SCAD
Baku, January 24 (AZERTAC). Government of Azerbaijan, together with the European Union and UNDP, has embarked on the 5th phase of the South Caucasus Anti-Drug Program. The main aim of the program is to evaluate the local legislation on fighting drug addiction and illegal drugs trafficking.
Head of the SCAD for Azerbaijan Mazahir Efendiyev said the national strategy plan to fight drugs trafficking and drugs addiction is being prepared. The plan is to support government`s measures to prevent drugs trafficking.
On the illegal narcotics cultivation and transit in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, he noted a document on these facts has been submitted to the US Department of State, UN, European Union and international organizations. Government of Armenia always tries to conceal this fact.
