Azerbaijan, Indonesia discuss military cooperation
Baku, August 24 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Ambassador to Indonesia Tamerlan Garayev has met Indonesian First Deputy Defense Minister Marshal Erris Herryanto to discuss cooperation opportunities in the military and industrial areas between the two countries.
Herryanto informed the Azerbaijani ambassador about the military industry of Indonesia, as well as the country`s imports and exports. He said Indonesia exports uniforms to about 60 states and provides weapons for ASEAN countries.
Ambassador Garayev focused attention on the current level of Azerbaijan-Indonesia relations.
Garayev spoke of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
He noted that if the ways of peaceful settlement exhaust, Azerbaijani army is ready to liberate the lands from the occupation anyhow.
Stressing Azerbaijan's cooperation with other countries in the field of military industry, the ambassador emphasized the opportunity of such cooperation with Indonesia.
Indonesian First Deputy Defense Minister expressed interest in sharing experiences and implementing joint projects. He also expressed his desire to visit Azerbaijan.
