AZERBAIJAN MUGAM PERFORMERS JOIN CULTURAL FESTIVAL IN JORDAN

Baku, 8 August (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani mugam trio participated in Cultural Festival, which took place on 1-7 August in Jordan. The event turned into the real music festivities, bringing together participants from 43 countries.

The Azerbaijani trio, comprised of vocalist Vafa Orujova, laureate of the First Mugam Competition, Mohat Muslimov (tar, Azerbaijan national music instrument) and Fakhraddin Dadashov (kamancha, Azerbaijan national music instrument) has performed in the cities of Ajlun, Jarash and Amman. Furthermore, on August 6 the trio played a concert, organized by the Azerbaijan Embassy to Jordan in conjunction with the Azerbaijan-Jordan Friendship Society.
