Azerbaijan, Switzerland discuss cooperation in energy sector
Baku, April 13 (AZERTAC). Delegation of the Swiss Confederation led by head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Federal Councilor Johann Schneider-Ammann has today visited State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
Head of SOCAR Marketing & Economic Operations Department Adnan Ahmadzade and Deputy CEO of SOCAR Trading SA Zaur Gahramanov welcomed the delegation and spoke on close relations between the two countries formed recently.
They noted that energy issues are the major parts of the relationship between the countries.
Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Federal Councilor Johann Schneider-Ammann expressed satisfaction to be in SOCAR which is the biggest business structure of the country.
SOCAR officials noted importance of the projects carried out in Switzerland and thanked Swiss Government for the support in these processes.
They exchanged views on issues of mutual interest noting that the meetings like these will contribute to further development of relations.
