Azerbaijan to attend international “IDEF-2013” exhibition in Turkey
Baku, April 16 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Defence Industry Ministry will participate in the international “IDEF-2013” exhibition in Turkey.
IDEF 2013, 11th International Defence Industry Fair, will be held again in May 7 - 10, 2013 at Tuyap Fair, Congress and Convention Center Istanbul, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence and under responsibility and management of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation by Tuyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organizations Inc. This event has become one of the most important regional cooperation and promotion platforms for keeping track the technological developments, implementing supply programs, demonstration and introduction of the modern vehicle, equipment and weapon systems.
The exhibition presented some impressive statistics, 633 exhibitors from 46 states, 52,502 visitors, 437 delegations, 34 Ministers and Deputy Ministers, 12 General Staff Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs, 244 press members from 15 countries. The 2013 Fair, with a very high level of Turkish representation and wide attendance of governmental and military delegations expected, will play a significant role in determining and shaping the future “defence” needs of the region.
ADS are intending to organise a UK Pavilion at this year’s show offering bare space and shell scheme.
The IDEF fair was organized by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation since 1993. The Foundation organizes the IDEF once in every two years and before each fair it chooses the organizer firm and exhibition venue by calling a tender. The exhibitions generally take place in Ankara or Istanbul.
