Azerbaijan University of Languages hosts gala concert marking Chinese New Year

A gala concert celebrating the Chinese New Year – Spring festival was held at the Confucius Institute of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).
Speaking prior to the concert, Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan Ding Tao noted that the Spring festival is the most significant traditional holiday for the Chinese people. He also congratulated the Confucius Institute staff on its 10th anniversary.
Jala Garibova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the university, congratulated guests on the upcoming Lunar New Year, noting that celebrating Chinese holidays at the university has become a cherished tradition that helps students deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, language, and history.
Following the remarks, the event continued with a vibrant concert program. Participants recited poems in Chinese and performed songs and dances.
Diplomas and New Year gifts were presented to participants of the festivities by Rafig Abbasov, Director of the Confucius Institute.
