AZERI FM MEETS CO-CHAIR OF EU-AZERBAIJAN INTERPARLIAMENTARY COOPERATION COMMITTEE
Azerbaijan Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met with European Union co-chair of the EU-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary cooperation committee Marie Anne Isler Beguin.
Marie Anne Isler Beguin expressed satisfaction with the level of EU-Azerbaijan interparliamentary relations.
Mammadyarov stressed conflicts in the South Caucasus are the main obstacle for the regional security, cooperation and development.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azeri FM stressed the conflict must be settled only within territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
He stressed importance of strengthening efforts by EU towards providing security, mutual understanding and development in the South Caucasus.
