Baku High Oil School, Bulgarian universities sign MoU
Baku, May 16 (AZERTAC). Baku High Oil School has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bulgarian Technical University of Gabrovo, Technical University of Sofia, and Bourgas Professor Assen Zlatarov University.
The MoU was signed by rectors Elmar Gasimov of the Baku High Oil School, Petko Petkov of the Bourgas Professor Assen Zlatarov University, Raycho Ilarionov of the Technical University of Gabrovo, and vice-rector of the Technical University of Sofia Ivan Kralov.
The MoU envisages development of the educational programs between the universities, exchange of students and teachers, and joint researches and scientific articles.
Prior to the signing ceremony, rector of the Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov met with rectors of the Bulgarian universities and the country`s ambassador to Azerbaijan Maya Hristova.
Gasimov hailed existing relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
He underlined thanks to far-sighted policy of the Azerbaijani and Bulgarian presidents, the relations between the two countries were developing in various fields, including political and economic ones.
The Azerbaijani rector provided an insight into the school, saying “Baku High Oil School pays huge attention to establishment of relations with leading European educational institutions”.
He stressed the importance of cooperation with Bulgarian engineering universities.
Ambassador Maya Hristova praised the activity of the Baku High Oil School.
She said Bulgaria was keen to develop all-round relations with Azerbaijan, particularly the educational ties.
The meeting also heard speeches by rectors Petko Petkov, Raycho Ilarionov, and vice-rector Ivan Kralov, who, in turn, expressed interest in cooperation with the Baku High Oil School.
