Baku State University expands cooperation with Mexican universities

Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero visited the Baku State University (BSU).
Elchin Babayev, Rector of the Baku State University, provided insight into the university’s history, scientific and educational environment, and its international relations.
According to him, the BSU is interested in building academic partnerships with prestigious higher education institutions in Mexico, as well as establishing continuous cooperation, signing memoranda, and developing dual diploma programs.
He also pointed out high research opportunities, especially in theoretical mathematics and theoretical physics.
Ambassador Maria Caballero described the scientific and educational collaboration as key instruments for bringing peoples closer together. She also stated that, in this regard, the cooperation between the BSU and Mexican universities is of particular importance.
The meeting revolved around discussions on expanding cooperation between the BSU and prestigious universities in Mexico, as well as signing memoranda, organizing dual diploma programs, and conducting academic exchange.
The sides also put forward proposals for implementing joint projects.
Subsequently, the Mexican ambassador toured the BSU’s Heydar Aliyev Museum, Heydar Aliyev Lecture Hall, Museum of Minerals, and Scientific Library.
