Baku to host Iran’s cinema days

Baku, February 7 (AZERTAC). Regarding the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Baku will host the days of Iranian cinema.

A documentary “Modern day Iran” was presented in the event in the Iranian Cultural Center in Baku.

Director of the center Ibrahim Nuri Khan noted that Azerbaijan and Iran had common cultural values. Iran produces nearly 200 movies, soap-operas, documentary in a year.

Iran`s ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayin spoke about the history of the Iranian cinema. Iran is in the 10th place for movie production, but all the works save the moral values.

The event also saw the demonstration of the film “Desert storm”.

The cinema days will last two days.
