BAKU TO HOST WORKSHOP ON ECOLOGY
Baku will host a seminar on ecology titled “Restoration of the oil-polluted areas - offered methods”, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan said.
According to the Comprehensive Plan of measures on improvement of ecological situation in Azerbaijan for 2006-2010, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is going to conduct a seminar on work on clearing of the oil-polluted areas on Absheron Peninsula and gardening of the restored sites.
As stated, the seminar will take place on November 3-4. The debates will concern technologies on restoration of the polluted territories, public awareness of the people and acquaintance with various proposals.
The workshop will be attended by management of SOCAR, representatives of industrial sectors and contractors of the Company, the relevant institutions, the ministries and departments, the foreign companies and NGOs.
